What Happens Next ~ Max Lucado

I love me some Max Lucado and not just because he is a fellow ginger.

All of his books are easy to follow and understand, he doesn't talk above my head.....I like to say he dumbs it down for people like me.

Hubby got me this book for Christmas and it was fantastic! He is a great writer, writing on my favorite topic - The Rapture and what happens after that. He does remind me a bit of David Jeremiah in the way that he keeps it simple for us simple minded.

Throughout the chapters Max shows "Heaven's Time Line" to show where that chapter is in God's timing. This is super cool - I do love a visual as I study about End Times.

The first chapter focuses on where we are going which is very exciting!

"Shouldn't our destination be an obsession?"

"Think less about your present fears. Think much about your eternal Home."

"The future is not as frightening if you know the future. And you can know the future when you know Who controls it."

"Understanding the future empowers us to face the present."

"Be a future-facing follower of Christ."

Man that's good stuff! Now the stage is set - the whole book is filled with "God's Plan for the Ages" as Max says.

He does an excellent job of explaining The Rapture, The Tribulation, The Millennium, Paradise, Crowns, Rewards, The Saints, The Great White Throne, Home and Eternal Life.

This was a great read - it helped to grow my hope and understand the great promises that we have been given as God's kids.

I can't wait to go Home!

Highly recommend - go on out and get this book so you can learn of the great promises we have been given by our God Who can't wait for us to be with Him in Heaven!
